Research Focus
The central focus of my research is the investigation of the nature of representations that are maintained by multiple memory systems and used interactively to guide on-line performance. A converging methodologies approach is used to address questions regarding the type of information maintained in representations formed by working- and long-term memory systems and the role of conscious awareness in the use of such representations in performance. My research employs reaction time studies, eye movement paradigms and recently, magnetoecephalography (MEG), to examine memory performance of younger and older adults to determine how memory is organized and how it transforms with age and/or brain damage.Publications
