hi ~
just an update on my previous post ~ i re-ran my analyses on data pre-processed only up to auto-talairaching in AFNI (motion corrected/smoothed/talairach normalized) and this improved PLS analysis.
in contrast - changing the singal to % signal change and detrending results in a mess during PLS analysis - i haven't tested which step is the culprit - but i suspect it's actually the % signal change (b/c it looks like it's done on the whole volume and thus changes relative voxel intensities)...
anyhow ..the analysis now reveals reliable motion artifact as expected -
the actual experiment effects are a different story :)
