Why is there a substantial difference in the spatial extent between bootstrap ratio and LV saliences view for PET data results? My understanding is that the LV view show the saliences of the voxel that meet the boostrap ratio for significance. in this case, I would expect the similar spatial extent whereas I get larger areas with the LV view.
Thank you

LV salience & bootstrap ratio can be very different. The earlier stands for the brain activity, while the latter stands for the stability of the activation. You can not compare an apple with an orange.

to follow up on Jimmy's post...
the GUI automatically thresholds both the saliences and the bootstrap ratio images..

the spatial extent of stable saliences (salience/stderror) can differ from the spatial extent of 'strong' saliences.  That is to say, some strong saliences may not be stable, and some weak saliences may be stable.
