Hello everyone,

I have run a seed PLS where the seed activty correlated with postive brain scores in all the conditions. However there is still an activity a pattern associated with negative brain scores which survives thresholding. I am confused as to exactly what the second acitvtiy would mean in the most general sense. I have seen a similar situation with task pls results where all the conditions load onto one activity pattern, and I am not sure what to make of the other activity pattern. Any clarificartion would be great.

Hi Naail - I think what you mean is that you have positive correlation between the seed and the brain scores (and the scores are all positiive?) but you have voxels that are negatively weighted in the statistical image?  If so, that is a common outcome.  Keep in the mind that the scores are a weighted sum of all voxels, so if there are more positive weights your scores will tend to be positive.
