I'm encountering an error included below when trying to modify a datamat using the ERP module in the current download of the PLSGUI. I'm running Matlab 2013B on a Mac with Yosimite. All of the click options witin the Modify Datamat window seem to operate fine and error occurs when I click "Modify". Other aspects of the GUI seems to be working fine with my current configuration - building, load, analysis, plotting, viewing analysis results. I can load older datamats after conversion and older results files fine. Just modifying the datamat that seems to be causing trouble. Cheers, Rob

Hi Rob...

1) Have you done this successfully in the past???

2) Can you upload the session/datamat files for me to play with (dropbox or similar). it doesn't have to be the full dataset

3) Let me know what you were trying to do, so I can try to replicate it..

thanks

Nancy

Nancy,

Can I get an email for Dropbox invite. noreply and forum bounce back.

I've been using an older version of the GUI in Windows in my previous lab. Moved to a new position this fall and trying to get the lab running again.

For the current issue. The error is somewhat variable. I was able to get the modify module to work yesterday - see the results file with a 0-1002 ms epoch so I was able to remove the baseline and then put it back in after the results run. This took several attempts yesterday, and it just seemed to work at a random point in time. Today I cannot use modify to make any changes to the datamat - it will not add/subtract electrodes, subjects, condition, or time points. I don't have access to a Windows machine right now to see if this might be a Mac issue. I rebuild the datamat yesterday so it was build within the current version of the GUI. I can access older datamats, but get the same error if I try to modify them. I have the PLSGUI in the Matlab path and have tried it with and without the folder of the datamat in the path.

Today I've tried to change all of the different options from the modify module and get this error regardless of what I try, so it does not seem to be a local error with one of the options.

Thanks for the help. I've never encountered this error in earlier versions, but also new to using the PLSGUI with the Mac.

that's odd... it could be the OS...

If you have a dropbox (or equivalent) upload the data there and post the link (uploads are not allowed on the PLS forum)...

I'll take a look at it next week when I'm back in TO

Rob, the fastest fix is to edit that m-file, and add a semicolon after the zero on line 502:

setting1.avg_selection = [0; setting1.avg_selection];

I've tried it with: changed #conditions, changed # timepoints, and it seems to work... Let me know if you have any more problems
